Senior UX Designer

Cognizant is looking for a Senior UX Designer with extensive experience in developing customized product for our clients. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

We take an Experience centered approach, which uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome, and building end to end experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing, and commerce capabilities

Roles/Responsibilities

• Well versed with User Centered Design
• Understand and implement Design thinking
• Gather requirements with Business stakeholders
• Conduct user research using appropriate research methodologies
• Determine and establish Information Architecture and create site maps
• Working knowledge of design tools trending in the market
• Create lo-fi and high-fi wireframes and mockups using design tools
• Create design documentations and artifacts
• Conduct Usability Testing
• Excellent Communication skills
  • Should be able to articulate design rationale
  • Provide design walkthroughs and clarifications to development team
• Collaborate with client design team or project team
• Should be able to handle design projects individually or as a team

Required Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of User centered design process
• Experience in designing enterprise and customer facing applications from scratch
• Working knowledge of the complete design process from discovery to implementation. Experience in the usage of different methodologies for user research, task analysis, design, and user feedback
• Familiarity with the Design thinking approaches for agile and waterfall
• Education in HCI and design schools are a plus
