As a Senior UX Designer at Roadie, you’ll lead and execute the entire UX process - not just a part of it. You’ll create massively impactful features and experiences - not just a piece of them. You’ll talk to the people that use your solutions - every week. Your work will be in app stores and online - released weekly.Â
You’ll be the primary UX Designer for the Roadie Driver app, the easiest and most flexible way to make extra cash in the Gig economy. From designing new features and workflows to implementing usability enhancements, your work has the potential to put Drivers in control over when and where they drive.
What You’ll Do- Partner closely with the Product Manager for Roadie Driver app to fully understand the customer journey, potential gaps, and opportunitiesÂ
- Use business requirements, usability findings and market research to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
- Design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes
- Translate abstract concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces
- Present design work to the user experience team and product team for review and feedback
- Develop and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency
- Energize the product and design teams through mentorship, domain expertise, curiosity, feedback, and inspiration
- An inherent curiosity and passion for solving customer problems
- 5+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer across a variety of platforms including Web, iOS, and Android
- A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions
- An innate understanding of the end-to-end design process - from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Outstanding UX capabilities, strong visual design competency, and product thinking for mobile centric experiences
- The ability to apply consumer insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap
- Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback
- Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools
- Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer ecosystem both on and off our products
- Strong collaboration and self-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and can clearly & succinctly present concepts to the broader product and design team.
- Experience in being a strategic partner to product teams and idea forming
- Experience mentoring other designers, providing feedback and coaching work
- Previous work experience in a consumer-focused tech organization
- Familiarity with creating interactive prototypes
