As a part of this team, you will work with a world-class team of designers as well as with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to build the Solsten’s platform and products. As a Senior UX / UI Designer you will support the UX efforts within your team and across the Solsten platform, pushing the bar for excellence while creating stunning experiences for internal and external users who will gain value from your solutions every single day.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Work closely with key stakeholders, including product management, design, research, and engineering to improve the quality of all interactions across the entire customer journey.
- Evaluate & Improve: Routinely evaluate and present opportunities to key stakeholders for quality-of-experience improvements across the platform, with consideration of the company’s priorities and vision.
- Design Reports: Support our Player Research team to design and present research results in a digestible and actionable way, considering the needs of various external stakeholders.
- Usable Templates: Collaborate with designers to build branded, adaptable templates that can be used by internal stakeholders (e.g. utilizing components within Figma with clear documentation on how to use them for non-designers).
- Design UX Artifacts: Collaborate closely with designers and researchers to visualize UX artifacts (e.g. personas, user journey maps) and document design guidelines while actively sharing knowledge on how to utilize the design system.
- Work on the product, website, or any experiences that need additional design support.
- A passion for Solsten’s mission, its products, and its customers is a must.
- Passion for user-centered design with a keen curiosity for understanding how to visualize and make psychological insights, data visualizations, and recommendations highly accessible, engaging, and immediately actionable.
- Highly skilled in Figma. Additionally in UXPin, Lucidchart, Sketch, and other design tools.
- Fluency in usability heuristics and cognitive evaluation methods.
- Proficiency in determining hierarchies of information and content flow.
- Ability to respond to unplanned requests and provide design solutions in a rapid-paced environment while still maintaining quality with rigorous prioritization.
- A curious and critical thinker, able to articulate complex design ideas with humility, professionalism, and a healthy dose of humor.
- Understand costs and benefits of general UI types and trends and how they relate to HCI as well as accessibility best practices.
- A good listener, a coach, and a highly coachable person who can build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders. You know when to ask questions, which questions to ask, and how to listen with the intent to learn.
- A team player, open to critique from all disciplines, and seeks feedback while constantly choosing growth over being right.
- Attention to detail as well as an eye for optimal aesthetics and visual balance in every aspect of your work - you love a perfectly polished product.
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), information architecture, design, graphic design, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a UX, UI, or product designer.
- Has used or designed research reports for game teams in the past.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
- Bonus: Has worked for game service providers, customer-centered B2B platforms, or other experience management platforms and service providers.
