Senior UX Front End Developer

Section 1: Position Summary

Develop web and mobile solutions that help millions of people achieve their financial goals. Take new features from concept to completion by combining interface and interaction design with modern front-end coding practices. Collaborate with UX Designers, Back-End Developers, Product Owners, Marketing, and Business Analysts to create experiences our customers love and that drive results for the business. Serve as a subject-matter expert for modern web and mobile design practices.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use front-end development expertise to build compelling web and mobile experiences that are clear, beautiful, and effective.
• Solve problems. Partner with UX design, back-end development, marketing, business, analytics and customers on strategy, execution, and troubleshooting of solutions.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships. Manage expectations within the team and with customers.
• Understand user journeys and help guide strategy and approach for upcoming projects.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Fluent in the following technical skills:
  • Modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6 +)
  • JavaScript Frameworks and Libraries (Angular preferred)
  • Experience with Agile Development Practices
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Interface/Component Design
  • Experience with Hybrid/Mobile Application Development is a plus (Ionic 4 preferred)
  • Progressive Web Application Development is a plus
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Able to present ideas and influence teams.
• Strong focus on user experience, a passion for good design and for building solutions using the latest technologies and best practices.
• Ability to understand business requirements and concepts and translate those into technical solutions.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills. Able to switch between tasks and across projects.
