Senior UX Researcher

As a Senior UX Researcher at Envoy, you'll have the opportunity to shape a UX Research practice that impacts our product strategy. We’re looking for a collaborative UX Researcher to democratize research with our product teams to improve the user experience for our customers. This is not a remote position. We have a hybrid model of Tue/Weds/Thurs in office in San Francisco.
In order to come to the San Francisco office, an individual must be fully vaccinated, which includes a booster. 

• Find and evaluate opportunities for research to improve a product decisions and user experience at Envoy
• Lead the research process from designing studies, recruiting, and supporting the team to make decisions based on research
• Analyze, and communicate qualitative data to generate insights, as well as actionable recommendations which drive product innovation and design improvements for users
• Create, collaborate and execute on foundational research to understand our customers and their needs 
• Work closely with product design, product managers and other partners to influence product and UX strategy
• Maintain the research database for all customer input in order to integrate communication to create a seamless customer experience 
• Find quick but compelling ways to generate, present, and evangelize results and recommendations throughout the company, in order to help cultivate a highly informed, more effective, and more empathetic organization
• Identify and enact improvements to the team’s practices and process 
• Help with hiring and establishing a human-centered design culture within Envoy

• 5+ years of experience with Product organizations, conducting qualitative research studies, including site visits, usability testing, surveys, and user interviews
• Undergraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or a related field OR comparable UX research experience
• Strong storytelling, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate and coordinate cross-functionally in order to engage stakeholders from across the organization
• Initiative to run with projects, and speak up when support and guidance is needed

• Graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or a related field
• Understanding of quantitative methods, behavioral analysis, and statistical concepts
• Design thinking methods and facilitation
• Knowledge of accessibility standards
