Senior UX Researcher
Job Description
The UX Research team works ondelivering insights on true customer engagement. You will be involved in defining goals, leading strategic research, and working cross functionally with other Celonis teams throughout the organization. As a UXR you will be an important step in our design process and you'll have the opportunity to delight our customers and provide important information to the teams based on your interactions and research.
The Role:
As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Celonis, you'll help your team of UXers, product managers, and engineers understand user needs. You'll work with stakeholders across different functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development. You'll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You'll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis.
The work you'll do:
- Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences
- Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing)
- Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
- Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations
The qualifications you need:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
- 4+ years of industry experience within a research setting
- Experience utilizing various research design methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
- Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs
- Comfortable in a highly-technical environment; ability to engage with quantitative stakeholders and understand quantitative findings and materials
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization

Compensation
For positions in New York City only: We offer a base salary range of $124,000 - $171,000 based on a Full Time Schedule. Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
For positions in California and Washington State only: We offer a base salary range of $131,000 - $180,000, based on a Full Time Schedule. Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
