We're seeking a senior UX researcher with a strong design background to help us re-imagine the future of e-commerce, turn ambitious concepts into reality, and deliver AI-driven product experiences that bring joy, utility, and fulfillment into our users' lives.
We're a flat team of super-ICs, operating with minimal structure and hierarchy, emphasizing empowerment, decentralized decision making, and bias towards action from junior staff on up. About the role
We're looking for a senior UX Researcher & Designer to be at the forefront of user research for Demand.io, taking on a hybrid role spanning both user research and UX design. You'll be a deep generalist with a broad mandate to understand our users, explore emerging UX patterns, and collaborate with our Product Design and Engineering teams to develop UI and UX designs for our future services and features.
What you'll do

• Conduct evaluative and generative UX research to refine our products and concepts and deepen our understanding of our target customers.
• Deepen our understanding of how users respond to and interact with emerging AI-driven, conversational product experiences.
• Ideate new features and interaction models and develop prototypes, wireframes, and mockups, functioning in your capacity as a hybrid researcher / designer.
• Collaborate with product design, engineering, growth, AI / data science teams, serving as our internal research service while also designing products and interfaces per project needs.

About you

• 5+ years of experience conducting UX research and UX design in a consumer-facing product company.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in various UX research methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, diary studies, AB testing, iterative feedback loops, surveys, etc.)
• Strong UX design skills, demonstrated through your portfolio.
• Demonstrated experience unlocking impactful research insights that drive product growth and revenue.

• Starting total cash compensation: $175K - $225K DOE.
• Stock options: 0.25% to 0.35% initial grant.
