ABOUT ROCKET MONEY đź”®

Rocket Money’s mission is to empower people to live their best financial lives. Rocket Money offers members a unique understanding of their finances and a suite of valuable services that save them time and money – ultimately giving them a leg up on their financial journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹‍♀️

We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher focused on our Personal Financial Management (PFM) group to join us in building Rocket Money! This role requires a strong research skillset, a focus on collaboration, and above all, customer-obsession. You will be responsible for conducting in-house qualitative and quantitative research to help a diverse set of cross-functional stakeholders better understand the “why” behind people’s financial systems and behaviors. This role will champion the user perspective on some of our highest visibility features including budgets, spending/transaction insights, credit score monitoring, and net worth.

The Rocket Money research team is small, but mighty, so we’re looking for someone excited to roll-up their sleeves and jump right in. If you love using insights to tell compelling business stories and are energized by Rocket Money’s mission of meaningfully improving the financial lives of millions of people, this is an excellent opportunity!

Specifically, you will:

  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineers to identify and prioritize key research questions
  • Design and execute end-to-end primary research on questions relating to our core personal financial management features
  • Utilize a wide variety of both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, user interviews, usability testing, co-creation etc.)
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations and deliver them to various audiences across the company
  • Develop a deep understanding of Rocket Money’s business model, market, product, and users
  • Evangelize a culture of research within the company

ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • 7+ years of client or vendor-side research experience
  • Experience with all phases of the research process including scoping, designing, recruiting, fielding, analysis, and iteration
  • Ability to manage research projects end-to-end with limited oversight
  • Comfortable moderating qualitative research conversations (e.g. individual interviews, concept and usability tests)
  • Comfortable writing, programming, fielding, and analyzing online surveys through hosting sites such as Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey
  • Experience with remote testing tools (e.g. UserTesting, Maze)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with desire to be a strategic partner in business decisions
  • Openness to experimenting new tools, methodologies, or ways of working that could make us more effective and efficient
  • A positive, team player mentality

WE OFFER đź’«

  • Health, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Competitive Pay
  • 401k Matching
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Lunch daily (in-office only)
  • Snacks & Coffee (in-office only)
  • Commuter benefits (in-office only)

Additional information: Salary range of $130,000 - $170,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skill, and experience.
