The designer plays a key role in shaping the user experience of NICE’s market-leading, AI-driven analytics products. The UX / UI designer will work closely with product managers / product owners, engineering, and product users (internal and external) to communicate proposed designs and gather feedback for their refinement. The successful candidate will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation, to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, research, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area of the product suite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate business requirements and user stories into meaningful interactive experiences
- Research, interview, and understand the needs and behaviors of both internal and external users. Many of our 'Pro' users are internal, so you'll have direct access to some of the most knowledgeable users of our products
- Provide strategic thought leadership relating to principles of usability and user-centric design
- Apply corporate UX standards to new software products and modules to ensure compliance; Identify cases where corporate standard may negatively impact product functionality / usability and effectively communicate both the issue and alternative solutions to corporate UX group
- Operate as a design generalist; own complex problems from beginning to end, translate research insights into ideas that form new features, and design the workflows and detailed interactions to bring those ideas to life
- Lead design of one or several features including user needs assessment, varying fidelities of wireframes / prototypes, user experience & navigation, and final visual comps / graphics
- Turn mockups into pixel-perfect designs, towards development (mainly using Figma)
- Advocate user-centric solutions while considering time-to-market
- Facilitate Usability Testing and other UX methodologies
- Deliver design solutions to stakeholders and company executives, defend design decisions and incorporate feedback into the design cycle
- Contribute towards the product design style guide
- Be led and mentored by a UX lead
SKILLS & BACKGROUND:
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary agile team delivering releases in short term, focused, iterative cycles
- A self-starter, able to work independently, managing your work across potentially multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong English-language communication skills (oral and written)
- 3+ years as a UX Designer - with a demonstrated track record of using UX methodologies (e.g. requirements capture, wireframe / prototype creation, graphics design, usability testing, etc.), preferably in a complex B2B product/environment,
- Genuinely passionate about UX design and practices
- Good understanding and experience with different UX methodologies
- Flexible to change, and open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Expertise in standard UX/UI software: (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq, Justinmind Prototyper, Adobe XD, or similar)
- Experience with Data Visualization is an advantage
