CB Insights is looking for a motivated Senior Vendor Community Associate to join our Research Products & Ops group. This individual will set strategy, drive innovation in primary data collection, and project manage communications with enterprise-facing companies. This role will report to the Associate Director of our Vendor Community, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in primary data collection.

At the heart of this effort is our vendor community and Analyst Briefing program. 

The program provides tech companies with an opportunity to present their products, services, and strategies to our analysts who cover the technology market via surveys and other methods. 

As a CB Insights Senior Vendor Community associate, you will set, plan, and implement the team’s communication campaigns and strategies with enterprise-facing companies. Further, you will be tasked with driving participation rates via AB testing, managing our offshore team, and building relationships with vendors, in effort to generate rich data that our research team and clients can use. 

About the team:

The Research Products and Operations team is a growing division within CB Insights, focusing on primary data collection, bringing new research products to market, and scaling existing research products.

Our primary focus next year is scaling out CB Insights’ Analyst Briefing program. You will play a key role here, in effort to generate a new source of information for our analysts and clients. 

Your main tasks:

  • Set, plan, and implement the team’s communication campaigns and strategies using Qualtrics, Outreach, Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Test and optimize marketing and outreach tactics to increase survey participation rates
  • Maintain the health of our contact directory
  • Manage our offshore team and SOPs 
  • Reduce current outreach efforts through analytics and automation 
  • Respond to company queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure our analysts have the necessary materials from companies when producing research 
  • Liaise with our engineering team for data ingestion requirements
  • Liaise with our CS, marketing, and PR teams 

What you bring to the table:

  • BA / BS
  • 4-5 years in primary data collection, project management, or research
  • Excellent verbal communication skills over both phone and email
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Solid attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver
  • Experience planning and leading community initiatives
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
  • Experience with MS Office apps and Google apps
  • Experience with survey tools, such as Qualtrics
  • Experience with campaign management tools, such as Hubspot
  • Experience with BI tools, such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker
