What You’ll Do
The Senior Vice President of Outdoor and Active Brands will lead the strategy and brand development of Authentic’s robust portfolio of brands catering to those who lead an active outdoor lifestyle including Eddie Bauer, Spyder, Volcom, Airwalk, and Prince.Â
What you’ll be working on
Develop and Lead the Portfolio Strategy
- Manage the strategy and execution of a multi-million-dollar business, including planning, forecasting, and analyzing results to define a go-forward plan for growth and efficiency to increase online sales and optimize the customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with the corporate leadership team to develop and execute the strategy for expansion in the US and Canada, while partnering with international leaders to grow the brands globally.
- Develop and implement business plans to ramp up business development and awareness of the portfolio in new and existing markets.
- Position brands competitively; monitor competitor product efforts, eComm changes, and industry trends; work proactively to sustain the strength of brands and products.
- Work collaboratively with licensees to develop and execute critical action plans, including product initiatives, wholesale and retail distribution efforts, and digital and social media marketing.
Lead Territory Business Development
- Formulate a development plan that generates a new business pipeline, in collaboration with the BD team; incorporate regional and categorical nuances into the sales strategy.
- Work with corporate and local HR to source and recruit a business development team that prospects, qualifies, and closes new licensing and direct-to-retail deals.
- Take a hands-on approach to business development; work closely with the business development team to drive sales activity and close deals.
- Leverage your network of contacts to schedule discussions and meetings with target licensing and retail prospects.
- Serve as leader and manager of the territory team including business development, partner management, marketing, legal, and shared services.
- Observe team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to help team members maximize their contributions.
Oversee Brand and Marketing Management
- Own partner licensee relationships: Train and develop a high-performing team of business professionals to manage productive relationships with licensees.
- Coordinate and align brand marketing between the company and licensees, guaranteeing the most up-to-date brand information is conveyed to and adopted by the licensee.
- Monitor licensee performance and proactively troubleshoot and correct challenges relating to key contractual and operational issues, including but not limited to retail distribution and stores placement, proprietary eComm planning, and marketplace distribution.
- Support accounts receivable and collections activity.
Must Haves
- 15+ years of experience in business development with extensive knowledge of brand licensing, retail, and eCommerce.
- A drive for achievement, driving the continuous improvement of portfolio performance.
- Sense of urgency, fast-paced, results-oriented, self-starter who enjoys team collaboration.
- Passion for problem-solving and strategic planning.
- Comfort with presenting and facilitating unique experiences to various audiences while maximizing impact.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with close attention to detail and execution excellence.
- Well-development management and leadership capabilities; must be able to effectively hire, develop, and retain a team, and to effectively manage up.
Primary Location Salary Range:
$200,000- $225,000
