Forge Global is seeking a Head of People to lead and inspire our People strategy during a time of rapid growth. As SVP, Head of People, you will be an integral part of Forge’s leadership team. You will design and execute a people strategy and long-term vision for growing our team while maintaining and strengthening our committed, collaborative, and high-performance culture. You will support the overall business plan and strategic direction of Forge, including the areas of compensation and benefits, workforce strategy, talent acquisition and retention, employee programs, diversity and inclusion, change management, organizational design, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record as Head of People at both public and private companies. Public company experience is a must as we recently listed on the NYSE (FRGE). This role will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
Responsibilities:- Drive strategy and provide oversight of all People functions including benefit and compensation programs, equity, payroll, 401k, workplace/real estate, people operations, people partners, employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, employee learning and development, employee programs, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and all other people-related programs, processes and policies
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive and senior leadership of each business team or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues
- Act as a trusted advisor and confidant to Senior Leadership Team and our Board of Directors on topics such as compensation, organization design, talent, performance, and succession management
- Lead Forge’s people strategy and practices to ensure alignment with our vision, mission, values, and growth goals
- Spearhead our DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) efforts and design programs that allows Forge to continue to build a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment that fosters belonging
- Oversee our People systems roadmap to ensure accurate data, robust reporting and technology powered processes and programs
- Develop People frameworks and tools, ensuring these meet business needs and are aligned with internal programs and practices, and follow all compliance requirements
- Evolve programs and processes through understanding organizational needs, and create and drive processes, policies, and workflows that are compliant, efficient, scalable, and reflect Forge’s values
- Work closely and partner with leaders on strategies to ensure consistent People practices across the organization are fair and equitable
- 10+ years of human resources experience with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Public Company Experience required (a combination of private and public organization experience would be ideal)
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a high performing People team
- Proven ability building programs, including policy design and development in a hyper growth environment, supporting leaders with an agile, efficient, tech oriented and fast-paced environment
- Experience with HRIS and related systems, implementations, protocols, capabilities, and upgrades (Workday and Lattice experience are a plus)
- Strong people operations experience (International a plus)
- Excellent communication skills- written, verbal and interpersonal
- Empathetic listener with a genuine interest in understanding colleague's viewpoints
- Strong collaboration with teams and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization including C-Level and Board of Directors
- Proven ability to maintain high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues
- Proven influencer with a demonstrated ability to coach and counsel employees, managers, and executive-level management
- Ability to influence and drive change
- M&A experience
- Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) measurement and reporting
- Experience managing DEI programs to build a diverse, inclusive & equitable organization
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data, utilize metrics and make data driven decisions
- Experience working in a matrix environment, with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with leaders at all levels
- Ability to develop and implement People strategies and solutions
- Able to establish and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships
- Previous People experience working in Fintech or Finance companies preferred
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting or in home office setting while working
