Senior Vice President - Head of US Consulting Team sought by Leyton USA Inc., Boston MA.
Job Description:
Manage US Consulting Team to ensure delivery of innovation funding services (R&D tax relief, ERC, State and Local Taxes, Energy Efficiency, grants) and consultancy services to a high-caliber client base.
Responsible to:• Manage US consulting team and function: team of managers and consultants (financial and technical), budget, technical reports, meetings, delivery targets (set and ensure meet), monitor team performance, client prioritization, resource allocation, ensure delivery capacity, coordinate staff (assignments, reviews, develop, do performance management plans, discipline), and develop incentives.• Establish, grow and evolve our US brand: identify and meet with potential partners; work with COO and SVP Sales on launch/business strategies, budgets, plans and events; network to identify new business opportunities; develop feasibility and implementation plans; engage with tax authorities for research; and monitor, analyze and report on competition.• Recruit consultant teams: convey staffing needs to COO, set salary budget and pay structures, advance planning, and interviews.• Work with key stakeholders, board members, and COO to develop effective sales and delivery strategies: meet on strategy, do business analysis, collaborate with other executives (on resources, structures, Key Performance Indicators [KPIs], targets, new offerings, and competitor analysis), and give feedback.• Report financial and sales performance data to COO using Salesforce focused on KPIs; identify concerns and co-author improvement strategies; and inform staff of actions required.• Represent Leyton USA at networking events (share marketing materials, do presentations), form connections with market-relevant orgs, and pass leads to sales team.• May involve related functions to assist the sales team as needed.
Travel: Travel is required, nationally and internationally up to 10 % of time.
Job Requirements: • Master's Degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.• Three (3) years of experience working in the government incentives or tax credit industry.• Three (3) years of experience advising clients on tax related reporting and relief claims and calculating client's tax benefits.• Three (3) years of experience auditing clients' activities and documentation to identify qualifying expenditures pursuant to tax regulations.• Three (3) years of experience preparing technical documentation to support tax relief eligibility claims.• Three (3) years of experience preparing and supporting clients throughout revenue enquiries and audits.• Two (2) years of experience managing a cross functional team, including preparing and managing the team's budget, developing goals and objectives, and ensuring team meets targets.• Two (2) years of experience developing and implementing performance evaluation matrices.
