This position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires a TS/SCI Clearance.
Position Overview
The Senior Vice President, National Systems Group (NSG) has executive responsibility for the Aerospace Corporation's support to the Intelligence Community, including the National Reconnaissance Office, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and others.
In a time of continuous change, this role has responsibility for leading a broad acquisition, analytical and systems engineering portfolio supporting Aerospace intelligence community customers in critical mission areas, including the specific oversight and direction of Aerospace support to major mission acquisition areas. This position will also lead NSG efforts working corporate enterprise activities, including engagement with Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and national agencies. This highly visible, fast-paced executive position will also provide leadership to a world class and dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and support staff. Key to success is the ability to develop and execute a strategic vision, enabled by technical expertise and leadership capabilities to achieve innovative solutions ahead of need.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides thought leadership and technical expertise to senior-level NRO and intelligence community customers.
- Routinely engages with the intelligence community and defense industry leaders, serving as a corporate ambassador.
- Proactively stays abreast of external changes and industry trends with an ability to quickly identify the implications and opportunities for the company and our customers.
- Anticipates customers' future needs and develops responsive strategies.
- Leads efforts where the scope and complexity of responsibilities require the integration of multiple disciplines and functions.
- Demonstrates the Aerospace Corporation Leadership Competencies (see below).
- Serves as the senior corporate officer site lead for the Chantilly, VA location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other technical discipline.
- 10+ years serving in leadership positions with a focus on systems acquisition (to include satellite, launch, ground systems).
- Demonstrated success leading large organizations to accomplish highly complex national security mission objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong, trusting customer relationships with impactful examples of influence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and operate with an enterprise mindset.
- Ability to travel to customer and Aerospace locations.
- US Citizenship.
- Current TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in science, engineering, or other technical discipline.
- Existing experience and current relationships with senior levels of the NRO and Intelligence Community.
