As a Video Editor you’ll be creating creative marketing video content for ArenaNet’s products.   

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Construct videos using custom built shots, captured footage, music, voice-over, sound fx, and motion graphics.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Narrative, Design, Production, Art, Audio, and other departments to define content for Guild Wars 2 videos.
• Coordinate with Production Team to organize and direct group in-game capture sessions.
• Layout and compose compelling in-game sequences using ArenaNet proprietary cinematics tools.
• Use game controls to set up and capture gameplay sequences.
• Work with a producer on creating and maintaining your own schedule
• Organize and manage media files as well as video capture equipment. Troubleshoot capture equipment issues as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 5+ years of experience in video editing and in-game video capturing.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in video editing, composition, audio timing, layout, and cinematography.
• Ability to create cohesive narratives using raw in-game footage, cinematics, and motion graphics.
• Strong skills in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop.
• Solid comprehension of different video formats, encoders, frame-rates, aspect ratios, and resolutions.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate, both able to brainstorm ideas as well as take direction when given.

PLUSES (NICE TO HAVES)

• Experience creating eye catching motion graphics.
• Good sense of other cinematic related skills, such as layout, storyboarding, scene choreography, lighting, or animation.
• Passion for games and storytelling.
