Talkdesk needs compelling media content that promotes its customers, partners, and employee culture. A well-seasoned video storyteller – a brand ambassador with a camera – would be a perfect fit. The Senior Video Story Lead will specialize in creating compelling video content that highlights customer experiences and testimonials. This role demands technical videography skills, strong interpersonal abilities and a talent for storytelling that brings our customers', partners’ and employees’ voices to life.
Responsibilities:

Storytelling
- Identify and capture compelling customer, partner and employee stories and testimonials that resonate.Â
- Develop, write, direct and produce videos for live events, social media and internal and external marketing efforts.Â
- Work closely with other business stakeholders from pre-production to delivery.
Interview and Filming
- Conduct on-site or virtual customer interviews, ensuring a comfortable and authentic storytelling environment.
- Handle all aspects of on-location shooting, including camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
- Conduct quality, docu-style, on-camera interviews with important customers, C-level executives and valued employees.Â
- Gather video assets and identify story opportunities, interviewees, locations and B-roll.
Editing and Post-Production
- Edit footage to craft emotionally engaging narratives that align with the Talkdesk brand message.Â
- Select the best takes, color grading, sound editing and add any necessary graphical elements.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with the customer, partner and events marketing teams to bring out the human element in Talkdesk videos both independently and collaboratively.Â
- Coordinate with customers to schedule and plan video shoots.
- Collaborate closely with the corporate video team to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Content Strategy
- Contribute to the overall video content strategy with a focus on customer-centric storytelling.Â
- Ensure that the videos effectively communicate the value of the Talkdesk brand through genuine and relatable customer stories.
- Pivot and evolve Talkdesk story needs in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment amongst diverse teams – flexing technical knowledge of video and audio production against budget expectations and deadlines.
Quality ControlÂ
- Uphold high standards of video production quality, ensuring that all content is technically flawless and emotionally compelling.
Brand RepresentationÂ
- Act as an ambassador of the Talkdesk brand when interacting with customers, partners and employees, maintaining professionalism and a positive brand image.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in videography and storytelling, with a portfolio showcasing customer-focused projects
- Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to put subjects at ease and encourage authentic storytelling
- Ability to collaborate on larger projects with agencies to ensure externally made content maintains Talkdesk integrity and video branding. Help manage related purchase orders, budgets, contracts, legal feedback and stakeholder feedbackÂ
- Strong technical skills in video production, including filming and editing
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Available to travel frequently (75%), sometimes on short notice

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
