Job Description

The Senior Visualization and Automation Analyst provides the opportunity to work alongside a strong team of automobile distribution, supply chain, and product information experts. The person selected for this position will be accountable for supporting the Southeast Toyota (SET) Distribution & Supply Chain department and will be held accountable to develop a strong comprehension of distribution, supply chain and allocation processes in order to support and continually optimize those functions using data and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Distribution department automation processes and deliver on analytical and reporting requests (via Power Automate, Power BI, Cognos) related to allocation, dealer inventory strategy, ETA and other Distribution and Supply Chain activities
  • Provide analytical oversight and tactical support to the Associate Purchase Program which includes oversight of lead/arrival volume trends and fulfillment of associate vehicle purchase orders for Southeast Toyota/JM Family
  • Support key Allocation functions including but not limited to chargeback review/application, allocation audit activity and sold/special order management

The Senior Visualization and Automation Analyst will work with the core Allocation and Supply Chain teams to create dashboards tailored to the department's needs. The Analyst will work alongside the Allocation Team to review allocation methodologies and suggest optimizations that support SET Sales Leadership. The value of the inventory for SETs 177 dealerships exceeds $2 billion. Strong visualization and partnership skills are necessary for success in this role. Attention to detail is a must. The ideal candidate must have the ability to prioritize well, manage time effectively and communicate with peers and various stakeholders at all levels.

Senior Visualization and Automation Analyst responsibilities may also include:

  • Design, build, and maintain department automation processes
  • Design, build, and maintain department reporting requests in Power BI and Cognos
  • Participate/Lead governance of department policy and procedure databases and process flows, and actively update and organize departmental information, including policies, procedures, process documentation, and reference materials in internal SharePoint site
  • Oversight of vehicle Associate Purchase Program lead management system in SharePoint and design of views and lists
  • Support key Allocation functions as assigned
  • Provide exceptional Dealer and Field support through e-mail and phone; the individual will leverage the tools at hand (Mainframe, Tableau, Power BI dashboards, etc.) to research inquiries and return clarifying details, and inventory management consultations in a timely manner
  • Support the SET Distribution-led Inventory Manager Certification program by collaborating with the team on material development, regularly reviewing dealer inventory performance, and proactively scheduling/conducting consults with Dealers and DSMs to enhance inventory strategies
  • Provide Distribution team, Dealer, and Field support during month-end sales close (typically until 10:30 p.m. on month-end sales close)
  • Produce ad-hoc Analytics and Reporting to assist department objectives and strategic initiatives
  • May provide support in other Distribution function areas including Damage, Marketing Show Cars, Demo Ordering and Retiring, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Extremely Proficient with Data and Analytics
  • Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate skills required
  • SharePoint skills required
  • COGNOS & Tableau development skills preferred
  • Mainframe/AS400 experience and knowledge of SQL
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Process improvement experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to identify, evaluate and solve problems independently
  • Exhibit flexibility and capacity to learn new job functions and take on projects as requested
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time (when applicable)
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to support business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple job tasks with excellent follow-up
  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings and present with a variety of target audiences
