We are looking for a reliable, detail-orientated Senior Web Application Developer to join our company. The Senior Web Application Developer responsibilities include communicating with stakeholders to determine application specifications, providing estimates, writing code, and working with a team of developers, as well as mentoring Web Developers. Provide excellent customer service, understand written and verbal instructions, and stick to deadlines and budget constraints.

Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year DOE, plus $75/month cell phone allowance and the following benefits:

The Opportunity

This is the ideal position for someone looking to gain experience in the medical field, but already understanding HIPAA and other healthcare requirements around data security. Success in this role will mean working across departments and with multiple software tools to use an agile methodology and forward planning to design, prototype, and develop clinical, financial, and operational reporting solutions and business intelligence applications across our family of audiology, medical, and dental practice members.

The Role

The Senior Application Web Application Developer will design, build, optimize, and own Audigy's member web application platform. They are familiar with programming languages and best practices, and work with a team of developers. They will provide mentoring and documentation of the newest generation of our Web Platform and its various integrations. This role is also responsible for educating coworkers about appropriate practices to manage sensitive information and collaborating with the IT division to safeguard user data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership with a proven architecture for web-based application development.
  • Work closely with product owner, internal users, and technical staff to understand product requirements then translate to technical specifications, prototypes, page designs, and maintain best practices.
  • Code, test, develop and troubleshoot healthcare related practice management web-based application.
  • Identify work packages to be iteratively developed and validated by key stakeholders.
  • Work side by side with small team of developers to iteratively develop, receive, validate, and integrate new web-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify areas for improvement of existing processes, and address issues with innovative solutions.
  • Identifies future product development and methods to improve sales of existing products by analyzing technology trends.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
  • Documents and communicates with peers as a mentor on technical standard operating procedures and improving best in class coding, security, scalability, and performance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES (knowledge & skills needed for this position):

  • Knowledge and experience with N-tier web application architecture.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including S3, Lambda
  • Experience integrating and developing with federated security, ideally Auth0/Okta
  • Expert in React, HTML5, CSS3
  • Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, including Entity Framework, Service oriented architecture, Java, C#, ASP.NET
  • Expert in development, including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, Python, Node.JS etc
  • Ability to bring the user experience to the forefront throughout the development cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills in a dynamic group environment.
  • Very strong client-side and middle-tier development skills a must.
  • Understand and proficient with service-oriented web application architecture.
  • Above all, excellent communication skills. The ability to prioritize multiple projects, identify risks, internally sell solutions, and enlist support from a technical audience will be the cornerstone of getting work done at Audigy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft visual studio or related software.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of the company's business processes and the industry at large.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3-5+ years' experience .net developing and web-based application design.
  • Experience supporting a secure, scalable, and high up-time production environment is essential.
  • Experience working for a company delivering a SAAS or BPO solution is also desirable.
  • Degree in computer science or related field is desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This position will involve long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
