Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Programmer Analyst Sr to join its Data Movement Technology group. Someone who is driven to get things done on our mission critical Managed File Transfer and Enterprise Faxing platforms. We seek someone who takes great pride in their ability to troubleshoot application and systems issues, provide global 24X7 tech support and develop software solutions to assist with project implementation, system monitoring, scripting of tools, custom functions and standardize our existing custom scripts. S/he will work as part of a dynamic technical team responsible for delivering all Data Movement IT project services for a demanding business, writing, and managing source code, automated tests, ensuring continuous integration, tracking issues and creating automated deliveries to file and application servers. This position works closely with business/product experts, architects, vendors and application developers to conceptualize, develop and deliver projects and solutions.
Key Responsibilities include:
This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting solutions surrounding the Data Movement Platforms for Managed File Transfer and Enterprise Fax Services. This will include developing new capabilities, maintaining existing tools & scripts, and creating or enhancing existing automated processes. This includes standardization of technologies in use for scripting, website development, and tool development. In addition, this role will provide ongoing support and technical consultation for various projects across the Data Movement Technology team.
Development:
- Create new and modify existing components of BBH Managed File Transfer application.
- Develop effective and efficient system configurations to provide appropriate resiliency and availability of applications/systems.
- Work closely with Business and System Analysts to develop data transfer solutions
- Migrate existing infrastructure to high availability infrastructure
- Modernize and Standardize custom scripting
- Work on resolution of issues reported in test and on production systems
- Develop, document and implement processes to extend, augment, or create new capabilities.
- Identify and deliver on process improvement ideas.
Support:
- Interact with DP-Ops, other systems staff, internal client groups, clients directly or vendors in complex testing, operational support and troubleshooting system problems.
- Provide architectural guidance on standards and procedures for the efficient use of resources.
- Provide production and development systems support (including off hours support on a rotating basis).
System Maintenance/ Administration:
- Coordinate system hardware and software installs, patch installations, upgrades and maintenance (including on weekends on a rotating basis).
- Monitor and maintain related application specific/OS performance tuning
- Perform daily administration tasks (e.g. provisioning, onboarding,).
- Coordinate regularly scheduled preventive maintenance (e.g. system, apply fixes).
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Windows .NET, Web development.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows .NET, C#, SQL programming.
- Experience of implementing Windows ASP .NET Framework
- Positive, can do attitude, open to change.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and initiative
- Highly organized and able to manage priorities and multiple work streams

- Experience with File transfer protocols, FTP, SFTP, FTPs, HTTPS
