Summary

The Senior Web Engineer is responsible for bringing creativity and agility to make an immediate impact to help Foxbox build beautiful products. This is a collaborative role responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and other modern web technology. The Senior Web Engineer is motivated to provide guidance to team members positively impacting our clients every day writing clear documents, ruthlessly prioritizing, presenting information and data to clients, and explaining what is going on to other team members in different roles.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript as a service.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Provide guidance to designers, product owners, and other developers to ensure high-quality product delivery by using expertise impact work across multiple workstreams.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions, actively soliciting feedback in order to improve relationships and capability.
• Create unit tests and perform integration testing to ensure high code quality bringing value to the client experience.
• Optimize mobile applications for performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technology by recommending multiple courses of action, assessing trade-offs, and prioritizing work taking action to solve problems with our clients.

• Engages client and internal stakeholders using appropriate communication methods, distilling complex scope into executable work, and setting appropriate expectations.

• Participate in daily and weekly client and project meetings to understand and respond to changing requirements.
• Identifies opportunities to collaborate with other team members across Foxbox.
• Log billable and non-billable hours daily to accurately bill clients for work performed.

Requirements

Who You are:

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• You have 7+ years of experience in developing web applications using React.
• You have 4+ years of experience in developing web applications using Next.js and Typescript.
• You have a strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• You have experience with the Tailwind CSS framework.

• You have experience with server-side rendering and API integration.
• You have proficiency in version control, such as Git.
• You have the ability to create unit tests and perform integration testing.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
