Senior Workday Analyst Summary:

RSM is looking for a Senior Workday Analyst to join our internal Talent Technology Team as a lead for RSM's Workday implementation. This game changer will serve as the expert in Workday's functionality and will provide ongoing HCM system administration and support once Workday is live. Additionally, this individual will act as the liaison between the Talent COE(s) they support, third party vendors and RSM's Information Technology Teams. This person will collaborate with key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and configure solutions in Workday and will act as a thought partner with our COE's leadership, their Talent Technology peers and the larger Talent community to achieve RSM's strategic priorities of enhancing our Talent Technology offerings and experience.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process configuration, complex calculated fields, integrations, data transmission (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support
  • Provide Workday product expertise in Workday's Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, and other product areas as required.
  • Advise on Workday best practices and partner with COE(s) to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday's functionality
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, documented business requirements for requested changes, enhancements, or projects and is accountable for articulating functional processes from beginning to end
  • Maintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future
  • Ensure day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
  • Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday features and functionality and participates in release planning, accountable for regression testing, unit testing, User Acceptance testing and pre-launch testing / sign-off for new features or enhancements
  • Work closely with COE(s), third party vendors and Talent Technology Integration Team for integration creation, updates and testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Certifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in HR, Business, Project Management, MIS or related field preferred OR a significant amount of directly related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position

Technical/Soft Skills Required:

  • Proven Workday functional expertise - an awareness of what Workday can and cannot do, familiarity with delivered functionality and reports, and extensive experience configuring one or more functional modules. performing straightforward administrative tasks in Workday (Undoing tasks, manually advancing tasks, waiving requirements)
  • Self-starter with a knack for navigating challenges independently; has strong prioritization skills, good judgment, and an appetite to continuously learn about HR technology and process
  • Ability to design creative technology solutions to match COE needs by best leveraging RSM's existing technology investments

Experience Required:

  • Experience with Workday functional configuration in at least one or more modules (Talent and Performance, Absence and Time-Tracking, Recruiting, Core HCM, Payroll, Security etc.), supporting a mid-to-large-sized business
  • 5 years of previous experience in HR/Talent Technology and project management including analysis and process mapping/documentation
  • 3-4 years of proven success driving business process implementation

  • A global thinker that can understand where RSM is at and where RSM wants to be and influences future process and decisions through a consultative approach with education and design of the best use of the RSMs HR technology ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in the work group
