Summary

This role is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, leaves of absence, and the 401(k) and Non-Qualified plans. Supports the day-to-day administration of company benefit, leave and work/life programs in accordance with multitude of federal and state regulations to ensure a high level of service to DSI employees and to protect DSI from legal exposure. Identifies opportunities for improvement both internally and with vendors. Supports day-to-day Workers' Compensation and requests for accommodation under ADA processes. Supports Benefits year-round and project-specific communications and resolves escalated employee issues

Responsibilities

- Provide administration support for all benefits including but not limited to the following:

- Manage to resolution any employee escalated questions and issues including working with internal colleagues and external vendors, when applicable.

- Support the development and delivery of communications including but not limited to presentations, newsletters, and other communications regarding benefit programs, changes, and pieces in support of benefits strategy.

- Support activities to update intranet to ensure accurate information is displayed.

- Conduct routine benefit audits

- Process any state disability payments

- Support for Non-Qualified Plan new hire and annual enrollment activities

- Support annual Retirement Account Contribution project

- Provide support for annual Open Enrollment

- Manage year end payroll reporting processes including but not limited to: Aggregate Medical Costs for W-2s PPO Gift Card,

- Manage 401(k) loan delinquency reporting

- Manage transfers between DSI and non-participating subsidiaries

- Manage applicable bill payments and reconciliation activity

- Submit invoices against ERISA administration budget

- Manage Financial Planning Benefit Imputed Income process

- Manage COBRA subsidy activities

- Processing tuition reimbursement requests

- Financial planning benefit reimbursement requests

- Matching gifts

- Volunteer commitment

- Adoption benefits requests

- Assist with the administration of all Leave of Absence including the following:

- Actively maintain knowledge of all current federal and state regulations governing short-term disability and leaves of absence, including but not limited to DSI short-term disability plan, statutory disability, FMLA, state leaves, state leave insurance, military leave, parental leave, personal leave, caregiver leave, part-time family care work arrangements and leave as an accommodation.

- Provide coordination and support for leave of absence activities, including liaising between the employee, the manager and HRBP to resolve return-to-work issues and the completion and submission of the Leave of Absence advise to pay bi-weekly report.

- Provide coordination and support for workers' compensation, application for disability accommodations, travel accommodation and ergonomic evaluation requests

- Assist with Compliance activities including but not limited to the following:

- Provide support for 5500 filings

- Provide auditing support for ACA reporting

- Manage all mandated Reporting Requirements including but not limited to OSHA, MA HIRD, San Francisco HCSO, Washington DC

- Provide administrative support for Non-discrimination testing

- Manage and process monopolistic state premium payments

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree required

- Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications

- 4 or More Years progressive corporate benefits and leave of absence experience required
