Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

As HotelRunner, We’re looking for great Senior/Lead Backend Engineers ready to take on some serious hacking for our İzmir R&D Office.

We’re looking for fun-loving code animals who have experience building and maintaining web applications, using the technologies outlined below to work at our platform. 
 
About the job 

• Design and develop new features and functionality in our Rails application 
• Be able and excited to extend past the Rails, into the application's guts. 
• Share application support duties through the beta phase and into commercialization 
• Use your critical thinking skills to innovate and solve problems 

Requirements 

The ideal candidate will have most of the following: 

• 5+ years Industry experience as a software engineer 
• Initial knowledge of Ruby on Rails or PHP.
• Good development skills in a UNIX environment and familiarity with the UNIX command line 
• Knowledge of at least one source control system 
• Ability to think outside the box and make decisions based on the problem space 
• Ability to quickly write clean, well-organized code in any language 
• Strong attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over the quality of our product 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• A passion and desire to work at a company trying to change an industry 
• Living in İzmir
