This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

Upwork is looking for an experienced Senior/Lead Flutter Engineer to join our Flutter Platform Team where we are at the forefront of revolutionizing mobile app development. As a Flutter Developer you will have a key role in promoting company-wide acceptance of Flutter for delivering exceptional mobile experiences. Work in partnership with our skilled engineers and designers to create state-of-the-art applications that redefine industry benchmarks.

Work/Project Scope:

• design develop test maintain and deploy software using the Flutter framework and Dart language;

• integrate Flutter Modules in native Android Apps;

• develop user interface components and implement them by following well-known Flutter / Dart workflows and practices;

• communicate with the product and engineering leads to ensure the successful implementation of business and project objectives;

• perform a code review of team members' commits and pull-requests;

• participate in testing quality assurance and bug fixes.

Must Haves (Required Skills):

• 7+ years of professional software development experience;

  • 2 years of experience developing and delivering Flutter based apps;

  • 5 years of experience developing mobile apps natively in Android;

• experience of working in distributed global software development teams;

• good understanding of state management Flutter flavors and app architecture;

• self-directed and challenge-driven: a high degree of self-motivation and a keen interest in autonomously addressing and solving complex problems with a focus on innovative and effective solutions;

• strong interpersonal and communication skills: outstanding ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders ensuring clear concise and productive interactions;

• strong command of English;

• coordinate with the team during core hours ( 8:00 to 11:00 am PT ) with occasional availability until 12:00 pm PT for critical matters.
