In this role, you will work to develop and maintain automated tests and test frameworks that ensure high-quality software without the need for manual testing. The Test Automation Engineer will work within an agile software development team to ensure the software is designed and implemented for testability and has sufficient code and use-case coverage within the test framework. The Quality & Automation team develops test plans and monitors test coverage across the product. They write automated unit, component, and system tests to detect regressions early in the development lifecycle. They work with DevOps teams to ensure test suites are run as part of the product’s continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to refine requirements, develop the testing solution, and have ongoing technical leadership. Our client is a rapidly growing US AdTech company, founded by three former employees of a major tech corporation. It boasts a highly technical team and a strong technological culture. The company provides high-scale Bidder-as-a-Service solutions in advertising technology, collaborating with global businesses and securing $28M in funding, including a recent Series B raise of $15M. We work closely with them to facilitate the delivery of key components of their platform and are seeking engineers to join their team and drive further platform development.

Job Description

• Set up CI/CD pipelines for Test Automation 
• Automate performance testing processes 
• Automate testing using various languages (Python, Java, etc.) 
• Automate tests trhough different interfaces (e.g., web API, native mobile, etc.) 
• Work with SQL 
• Define and validate the Test Automation technology stack 
• Develop and implement Test Automation strategies 
• Define and track Test Automation KPIs 
• Lead and manage a Test Automation team 
• Advocate for and defend Test Automation solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in Test Automation for Senior 
• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript 
• Expertise in Playwright and alternatives (Cypress, WebDriverIO, etc.) 
• Expertise in test data creation via web API 
• Expertise in code design patterns and principles 
• Ability to create frameworks from scratch 
• Code review and refactoring skills
