About the Role
As a founding member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and launching multiple applications across Apple platforms, striking a balance between unique features and shared functionality to meet diverse user needs. You will have significant contributions as you leverage the latest Apple technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, CoreML, ARKit, Metal, Core Bluetooth, iBeacon, CryptoKit, and others leveraging the latest development paradigms for Apple platforms such as MVVM and Multiplatform. Together, we'll craft powerful, elegant apps that will delight our users.Â
Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing and deploying multiple apps, balancing unique features and shared functionality across Apple platforms for diverse user needs
- Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams to define and translate requirements into efficient solutions
- Ensure robust privacy and security measures throughout development, aligning with Flow's commitment to user privacy
- Support team growth through recruitment, providing technical guidance and mentorship to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team
- Lead architectural decisions, designing scalable and secure infrastructure to support long-term application growth
- Stay updated on iOS development trends, integrating new technologies for improved performance and user experience
- Advocate and implement testing best practices to ensure the highest application quality
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions, and directly engage with users and stakeholders to inform continuous application improvement
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Apple development, with a strong portfolio of applications (OpenSource, App Store, Hobby projects, etc)
- Proficiency in Swift with deep knowledge of Apple platform frameworks (SwiftUI, Combine, Core Animation, etc.)
- Experience with Apple patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER) and a strong understanding of design principles for mobile applicationsÂ
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, in distributed collaborative environments
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and convey technical info to non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication skills with experience providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of pushing the boundaries of application development
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web technologies, UI/UX standards, and agile development methodologiesÂ
- Experience with greenfield application development is highly preferred
