Senior/Staff CFD Engineer, Modeling

We are looking for a Senior CFD Engineer, Modeling to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Modeling and based in San Jose, CA

Role and Responsibilities:

• Participate in design/ development of our product, from concept phase to production
• Interface with cross functional teams and conduct accurate CFD analysis, both at component and system levels
• Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options, and provide inputs for design improvement and optimization
• Get involved in test plans for validations of models/product performance
• Evaluate performance in the field for continuous improvement
• Publish reports and present modeling results on a regular basis
• Manage multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner

Skills and Experience:

• MS/PhD in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace Engineering with background in applied CFD
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and Heat & Mass Transfer
• 2-4 years of experience (academia/industry) with one or more CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent (preferred)/Star-CCM
• Experience with high temperature & multiple species problems are desired
• Skills in handling complex 3-D geometry, grid generation, and post-processing
• Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex geometry & physics with minimal guidance
• Highly motivated and a team player
• Excellent communication skills

Salary Ranges:

$98,400.00 - $141,600.00
