Senior/Staff Software Engineer - AME

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in software development, with a focus on backend or frontend technologies.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to take ownership of projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) may be preferred depending on the specific role and industry.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is often a plus.
• Certifications or advanced training in relevant technologies can be beneficial.
• Experience in Mechatronics
• To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and participating in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions related to MFG SW applications.
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in best practices and development methodologies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design architecture, and prioritize tasks.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in various programming languages.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Identifying and addressing technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues in production environments.
• Ensuring adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance principles.
• Role based in Pleasanton, CA
• Role will Report to Director of AME
• Recommend Understanding MFG Service test structure.

The annual salary range for this role in California is $140,000 - $170,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
