ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking to onboard a Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding team. You will become an integral part of our agile engineering organization, taking on a role that comes with high expectations, significant autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility. You'll be well-supported to excel in a dynamic environment focused on engineering innovative products for our TMS software, which serves hard working Americans and has a real impact within the industry. In this role, you'll work alongside our Product and Design and Product Engineers to ship user-facing applications. We have new product launches on the horizon and we'd love to share more with you in a call. 

SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON

• Implement automated order entry and document ingestion through OCR and LLM's. 
• Establish data integrations with major freight forwarders, enhancing the shipper experience.
• Enhance the functionality of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to cater to the intricate needs of larger customers, focusing on features such as intelligent picking and automatic warehouse design.
• Spearhead the development of an integrated general ledger to provide detailed, industry-specific financial reports on operational processes. This includes offering insights into driver profitability, lane profitability, truck expenses, cash flow position based on outstanding work, and more.
• Lead the development of a sophisticated dispatching screen, enabling dispatchers to efficiently collaborate with on-road drivers, optimize complex backend routes, and provide turn-by-turn instructions.
• Engage as a fullstack engineer within our tech stack, which comprises Javascript (React, React Native, Typescript), Node, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of 15-20 engineers, embracing ample opportunities for professional growth and contributing to significant 0-1 product initiatives.

YOU HAVE

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience 
• Prior startup engineering experience 
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and a modern product engineering stack is highly desirable
• Experience building and shipping strong code with an emphasis on quality, maintainability, and exceptional end products.
• An understanding of web technologies and excel in crafting large-scale web applications with a product-centric mindset. 
• A curiosity that drives you to continuously create and enhance elegant, user-friendly products that resonate with our customers.
• An approach to decision-making that is thoughtful, skillful which helps navigate the balance between swift progress and deliberate refinement.

POSITION'S COMPENSATION RANGE

$130,000-195,000 plus generous equity ✌️
