Lab Summary:Â The Digital Media Solutions Lab at Samsung Research America is developing innovative and advanced core technologies related to video and audio systems.
Position Summary: Developing highly advanced video/computer vision algorithms to differentiate Samsung’s 8K TV products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working on developing/researching highly advanced video/computer vision algorithms to enhance Samsung’s core technology.
- Evaluate and recommend the best designs and architecture for hardware SoC/software implementation.
- Effectively communicate and support other global engineering teams.
Experience Requirements:
- MS and/or PhD in EE or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Multiple positions in the following areas:Â Proven experience (International Journal or Conference Papers, Patents) in at least one of the following areas: Super Resolution, Semantic segmentation, Image Quality Assessment, Feature Extraction, Computer vision/Deep Learning/AI Applications, Quantization in Neural Network, HDR
- Experience in Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Image Processing, and/or strong Publications
- Programming languages: Python/Mat lab, C/C++

Work Hours
Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
