SEO Content Marketing Specialist (Contract)

We are growing our consumer marketing team and looking for a talented content and SEO specialist to join us. You will be responsible for creating a content strategy for the Mulberry consumer blog that increases search engine rankings to drive organic SEO growth. You'll work closely with the marketing team to understand the industry and identify opportunities to own search terms, ultimately increasing organic traffic to the blog and driving consumers to install the Mulberry extension. This is a contract role with strong potential to join the Mulberry team full-time with proven success.
What You'll Do

• Analyze and monitor the competitive landscape to ensure content supports Mulberry's business objectives and growth opportunities
• Create a cohesive content strategy for the Mulberry consumer blog to increase organic presence and brand awareness
• Research keywords that are valuable for Mulberry to own and will place Mulberry at the top of search results
• Research consumer trends and online behaviors to capture target audiences based on search
• Develop topics, sub-topics and content clusters based on keyword research
• Draft content outlines for blog topics to provide direction for freelance writers
• Review and edit article drafts to ensure content is on-brand and optimized for desired keywords
• Monitor daily keyword performance and make recommendations for optimization of existing content to improve SEO positions for target keywords
• Identify opportunities for backlinks and implement link-building strategy
• Experiment with new tactics to improve acquisition through blog CTAs

What We're Looking For

• Experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns that have driven organic growth
• Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
• Proficiency with keyword research and data mining tools (Google Analytics, Semrush, HubSpot)
• Familiarity with competitive analyses to understand the industry landscape and opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• GSD (get stuff done) approach, motivated by new challenges, dedicated and good at seeing things through to completion
• Content samples a plus but not required
