ABOUT THE POSITION

The SEO Program Manager is responsible for improving SOREL's organic visibility wherever search results are presented (e.g., Google, Bing, social platforms). This role partners with an outside agency to develop, implement, and manage SEO campaigns and optimizations for SOREL.com. The job includes a great deal of cross-team collaboration between teams such as marketing, web development, content production, social media, and public relations.

This role is expected to monitor critical updates and trends affecting major search engines. They will partner closely with the CSC development team to help prioritize connected site development work and ensure its completion.

This role will be a true owner of channel performance; they will continually analyze data to demonstrate progress toward goals. They will also partner with internal teams to understand and inform business goals like revenue plan and strategic category growth. They will regularly communicate to SOREL senior leadership on the results of the organic search program.

The SEO Program Manager is a critical element to the long-term SOREL digital marketing team growth plan and will participate in the planning of strategic business initiatives.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Develop and execute SEO Strategy for search related platforms. Accountable for the SEO traffic and growth plan. Executes SEO campaigns that align with SOREL business goals.
  • Manage efforts with front-end developers for optimization including meta-tags, schema, internal links, redirects, and canonical tags among other optimizations. Collaborates with web analysts to leverage data to deliver insights about SEO efficacy.
  • Execute plans related to the identification of targeted keywords, goal setting, testing, deployment, tracking, and reporting. Performs accurate and thorough keyword research using various search & analytics tools, and/or works with agency partners on these projects.
  • Manages the day-to-day operation and optimization of SEO for consumer-facing digital properties.
  • Initiates and manages supporting tactics and campaigns from development to implementation and execution. Makes recommendations for on-page optimization initiatives that focus on conversion improvements and user experience.
  • Optimizes web properties with a focus on increasing keyword/page ranking, prioritization & new traffic opportunities.
  • Identifies and establishes relationships with key web properties for inbound link acquisition and optimization.
  • Gathers and assembles background information and analysis as needed in development of reports, presentations, plans and strategies and Reports on SEO initiatives to project stakeholders & executives to gain consensus to move projects forward.


YOU ARE

  • Able to develop and execute long-term SEO strategy centered around larger business goals.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams to integrate channel strategy into larger business strategy.
  • Exceptionally strong with data analysis skills with emphasis on determining actionable items. Sharp, critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills. Ability to pivot strategy based on performance or shifting business goals.
  • A superior communicator able to effectively integrate with key stakeholders and various business units.
  • Able to interpret and present performance data and strategy plan to various audiences including cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Able to manage multiple, competing priorities and/or projects.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree with preference to concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, Ecommerce, and/or communications.
  • 5+ years of SEO experience with a proven track record of optimizing websites, mobile, video and/or social to obtain prominent search rankings for competitive head and long tail keywords.
  • Experience managing large scale SEO initiatives, preferred experience in e-commerce landscapes.
  • Experience in a B2C and/or multi-channel retail environment also preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of SEO best practices, search engine trends and search engine algorithms. Knowledge of and experience with inbound link strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of web analytics and KPI's. Strong knowledge of third-party keyword research and SEO optimization tools required. Past work with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Enterprise SEO platforms preferred (e.g., Searchmetrics, Conductor, BrightEdge, etc.). Basic knowledge of a CMS (WordPress, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP) is a plus.
