Context of the positionÂ
We are looking for a skilled and motivated person in the area of Content creation and SEO. You will be the first member of the Australian content team (supervised by the Head of SEO Japan/Australia).
Mission? The creation and follow-up of our energy content, with the aim of positioning our website (selectra.com.au) as the reference to help consumers make the best choices for their energy contracts.
Objective? To increase the number of qualitative leads for our sales department and improve online sales.
Outcomes to be accomplishedOutcome 1 : Content Development and Maintenance
- Organise and plan editorial requirements and content integration
- Carry out market research and keyword research
- Continuously identify user intent
- Write articles based on keyword research and user needs
- Continuously ensure the offers and information on our website are correct
Outcome 2 : Updating and enhancing content
- Update the details of the offers on our content.
- Optimise existing content to make it more ergonomic and improve its referencing.
- Analyse and monitor competitors by benchmarking and finding gaps in the market.
- Moderate user comments.
Outcome 3 : SEO improvement
- Create the content strategy, campaigns and link building to boost Selectra's authority.
- Monitor the SEO of the pages you are responsible for.
- Implement strategic actions to improve positioning.Â
Outcome 4 : Monitoring the websiteâs ecosystem
- Analyse KPIs by providing reports on organic traffic, page views, conversion rate, CTR, backlinks, keyword ranking, link building and website health.
- Work with the design team to improve the visuals of your website.
- Work with the technical team to fix bugs to improve the websiteâs user experience and performance.
- Work with the business team to improve the conversion rate of organic lead sources.
Profile
Must-haves
- Bilingual in English, either native or resident of an English-speaking country for many years. No language and grammar mistakes escape your eye!
- At least two years of SEO or SEA experience.
- You have an analytical mind and work rigorously. You carry out your tasks in an organised way.
- You are an excellent team player. You like to take initiatives and are eager to learn.
- You have a Bachelor or Master Degree.
- You have a passion and skill for writing and SEO.
- You are interested in the Energy and Telecom sector in Australia.
- You are ready to travel to Australia to have necessary discussions and negotiations without business partners.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
- Basic knowledge of a CMS like Drupal or Wordpress.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
- Experience with content management and/or web marketing.
- Experience in the Energy and Telecom fields.
- A great understanding of Australian people and a perception similar to the locals.

Terms & Conditions
- Type of contract: 1 year long contract (ć„çŽç€ŸćĄă»renewable)
- Starting date: September 1st 2024Â
- Working hours: 40 hours/ week
- Place of Work:Â Tokyo office: 1-27-9 HIgashi, Shibuya
- Monthly gross salary: 275.000 - 375.000 yen gross salary (depending on experience)
- Benefits:
- Paid Leaves: 10 days + Japanese national holidays
- Transportation expenses are reimbursed by Selectra
- Remote work: twice per week

Selectra Australia
The Australian market is a very young project of Selectra, with only one business developer (and a sales agent) based in our Tokyo office. Expecting rapid growth, you will be part or our starting team and get a chance to be involved in the development of this project almost from scratch.Â
