We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineering Intern who is proactive, self-motivated, and an out of the box thinker. You’ll assist in the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the web services and pipelines that power SightPlan's web and mobile offerings.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career and learn, firsthand, how to independently provide robust, secure, available, and scalable solutions.

What are some of the high impact opportunities you’ll tackle?

• Write custom scripts or tools for the customer success team to improve onboarding speed.

• Work on performance optimization and platform re-entering.

• Document your code and assist in its build and deployment to production.

• Rapidly learn and become confident in using multiple development stacks.

• Assist in the maintenance of web services and pipelines that power web and mobile offerings.

This opportunity is for you if you have/are:

• Passionate about technology, learning, and improving development skills.

• Understand Web Services and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Experience with Linux, Java, or Ruby preferred, but not required.

• Self-motivation, time management, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills.

• Introductory experience with programming and CS concepts.

• Willingness to learn on the job.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail, both in technology and design.

• Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

• Outstanding written and verbal skills.

• Current studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
