SERVICE ENGINEER

*This role is hybrid serving our client in PST: 8 AM TO 5 PM, with the ability to work onsite at Microsoft Visitor Center / Company Store, Redmond campus (WA), typically 1-2 days per week, as needed.

We’re looking for a Service Engineer to support a Global Team within Designit, supporting the Microsoft Stores organization to drive impact with one of our leading client teams. This world-class, highly visible team supports brick-and-mortar and digital retail footprints, including technical support, content management, and associate readiness. This team is on a mission to continue to accelerate innovation and drive business results. 

The Service Engineer serves as a critical element on the team, and the first line of defense for troubleshooting across Microsoft’s worldwide Experience Centers. In this capacity, the consultant is responsible for the following:

• Providing technical support for Microsoft Experience Centers and Employee Company Stores
• Creating deployment documentation and configuration readiness
• Support seasonal campaign execution
• Digital content deployment and management
• Testing and validation of all new hardware
• Testing and validation of all new Windows launches and OS updates
• Overseeing RDX app deployment testing
• Being the keeper of knowledge with deploying all current and future experiences in-store and the ability to transfer that knowledge to the extended team and to stores directly
• Providing event support as needed, including MEC configuration and QR code creation
• Providing onsite support for Microsoft Visitor Center
• Management of complex device SKU list, Microsoft Excel proficiency preferred

What you bring: 

• 3-5 years of experience with retail demo devices or other IT support
• The ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems with Windows devices
• Strong familiarity with Windows OS (Command Prompt/PowerShell knowledge a plus, but not required)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A customer service-oriented mindset when working with stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
• Retail experience a plus

Compensation Range: $125K - $130K per year

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during the interview process, the candidate's range and depth of experience, business and market financials, and internal pay parity.
