OnsiteThis position provides technical, hands-on support for Collins Aerospace ground and airborne communications, navigations, sensor, displays, and integrated application test equipment for commercial and government/military related programs or projects. This person would drive improvements based on various analyses. Perform corrective actions for technical issues at the Atlanta Service Center. Troubleshoot test equipment, and carry out product testing. Other duties might include; formal/informal training and/or support and installation of test equipment products within the Collins Aerospace standards and the guidelines of various governmental regulations and requirements.

- This position is located at the Collins Aerospace Atlanta Service Center in Atlanta, GA.
- This position will have irregular work days. The role will be worked five days per week; candidate must work Friday-Sunday, and the other two workdays will be flexible based on candidate preference. Hours will consist of eight hours per day during day shift.
- Evaluates and repairs existing test equipment and test stations to keep them at full capability.
- Interprets schematics to troubleshoot test equipment issues.
- Assists in implementing and maintaining test procedures and processes in the manufacture and test of sub-assembly, module, and top level product for multiple product lines.
- Maintains test documentation in current configuration and oversees accurate change management procedures for all test documents. Resolves conflicts in documentation and process definition.
- Studies test equipment performance and reliability, and establish programs and solutions for decreasing equipment downtime. Feeds back the analysis to improve design of next generation test equipment.
- Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for difficult products.
- Receives little instruction on assigned tasks. Works fairly independently. Follows established processes but understands when occasional deviations are required. Deviations are coordinated with direct supervision.
- Failure to achieve results will have an impact on product quality or delivery schedules.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have a background in test equipment and/or electronics hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Experience interpreting drawings is required.
