As the Service Operations Manager of Vulnerability Management & Cyber Security in Fort Worth, Texas, you will be responsible for security governance of the Alcon IT Security Vulnerability and Threat Management program. In alignment with leadership, the individual will set goals and objectives of all aspects of the Vulnerability and Threat Management program and track progress against these objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Interfacing with leaders in across IT functions
• Interfacing with application stakeholders to drive and achieve remediation of IT security vulnerabilities and threats, in order to fulfill Alcon's security, legal, regulatory and operational requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years in information technology and hands-on experience in the information and cyber security field, specific to enterprise vulnerability management
• 2+ years working with Vulnerability Management in support of industry standard Security frameworks such as ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, etc.
• Experience in reporting to and communicating with senior management (with and without IT background, with and without in-depth risk management background) on Vulnerability Management topics; and ability to provide contextual advice to senior business & IT stakeholders on protecting business critical data for all of Alcon.
• Broad understanding and knowledge of general IT infrastructure technology, systems and management processes (IT and Business)
• Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CEH or GSEC
• Healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

• Work with leadership to develop Vulnerability and Threat Management program goals and objectives to deliver and improve services.
• Develop KPI's and metrics, in support of the Vulnerability and Threat Management program, and report against them.
• Advise vulnerability owners on treatment plans, including remediation and/or mitigation guidance, relevant to vulnerability owners' infrastructure, systems or applications. Includes leading a monthly Vulnerability Management meeting for IT.
• As needed/as requested, provide Vulnerability and Threat Management consultation, for example: guidance to the Information Security Awareness program, Audit support (as needed/requested by leadership)
• Provide input and guidance to cybersecurity strategic architecture roadmaps for the organization in the areas of vulnerability and threat management focusing on core security operational needs aligned to business objectives.
• Provide input in evaluating security architectures and engineering designs in the areas of vulnerability and threat management to determine the adequacy and ensure alignment across security objectives
