This position will be a part of a new start-up Joint Venture Seating JIT Assembly plant located in the Detroit, Michigan. Under the direction of the Assistant Materials Manager, this role assumes all service functions. Assist in production delivery performance issues.

Role Summary
This position will be a part of a new start-up Joint Venture Seating JIT Assembly plant located in the Detroit, Michigan. Under the direction of the Assistant Materials Manager, this role assumes all service functions. Assist in production delivery performance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate weekly Service Pick List and ship parts to customer/applicable location on time.
- Identify part shortage for upcoming shipments and order parts/kits on time as required.
- Review service parts releases and update release.
- Review Ford bulletins, answer Ford Shortage Monitor/Alerts on Covisint/applicable Ford/required system on time. Report out issues if any to Supervisor/Manager.
- Ensure Service parts are shipped per approved PPAP drawing/ODS sheet. Ensure Service/Quality Techs have completed their checks.
- Book Service pick up on time and report out any issues to Supervisor/Manager.
- Create/update delivery on SAP, verify part numbers and quantity per Service pick list and send ASN on time.
- Take pictures of the parts before shipping clearly showing the part number and quantity.
- Save Service pictures, Service pick list and all other Service related documents in specific folders always.
- Submit disputes/respond to alerts, Rating Modification Summary on Super-G etc. as required.
- Run MRP in SAP/ERP System and prepare and send material releases to vendors.
- Address any supplier issues pertaining to the release/delivery process through verbal and written communication, including delivery disputes, late shipments, and cumulative quantity reconciliations.
Additional Information
- Maintain the integrity of the planning cycle through ongoing maintenance of the planning data with respect to all RPS functionality. (Lead times, safety stock).
- Track supplier shipments and follow-up with vendors and freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery including expedited freight.
- Perform accurate receiving of all shipments in the MRP system and communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies / issues as required.
- Process vendor returns in SAP/ERP system, communicate with finance for supplier chargebacks.
- Arrange to issue SNCR for supplier performance issues.
- Ensure system inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
- Meet inventory objectives and ensure no material shortage.
- Prepare outbound shipment paperwork as required (including international shipment documentation preparation such as customs, NAFTA).
- Update freight pick up schedule, meet freight target and minimize premium freight as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company's policies, complete daily required reports and file all paperwork.
- Responsible for the proper scheduling and releasing of materials at MSS for all Service requirements. Ensure Supplier shipments meet the required material standards as outlined in the MSS Supplier Manual. Responsible to enforce chargeback policy.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
- BS degree in Business or Inventory Management (APICS certification desirable).
- Three to five years in Service/Production planning inventory management or MRP operation.
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Results orientated and able to follow up quickly and consistently to bring issues to closure.
- Detailed orientated.
