Service Specialist

Horace Mann is looking for a Service Specialist for our Property and Casualty division. The Service Specialist responsibility is to review, evaluate, and process change requests at a client and policy level for a broad range of business within Property & Casualty. The Service Specialist shall have general knowledge of insurance products and practices including a high-level understanding of ALG products. 

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and act on inquiries and policy changes from clients, agents and third parties.
• Ensure proper client, policy and household factors are applied meeting all compliance standards and filed rules. 
• Provide an exceptional level of customer service consistently keeping our client’s experience at the forefront of all activities. 
• Continuously seek process improvements, eliminating gaps, redundancies and ensuring all controls are followed. 
• Strive for a first contact resolution and once and done service experience. 
• Collaborate with peers and managers to maintain business solutions operational standards 
• Provide solutions for improvements 
• Maintain client perspective striving to exceed our clients’ expectations 
• Uphold regulated and filed rules 
• Maintain individual production and quality standards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of compliance and/or underwriting industry practices is preferred.
• Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in P&C is preferred
