ServiceNow Administrator
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform development and configuration of a variety of areas including, but not limited to Employee Service Center, Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Release / SDLC, Asset Management, Human Resource Management, Configuration Management (CMDB), Mobility and Reporting.
- Provide support and development of, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, flow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, automation and custom application development.
- Guide a cross functional team to scope and design solutions and/or integrations for documented business and technical needs, with an emphasis on / preference for minimizing customization and low code design.
- Design technical solutions to address complex requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option, and implement the solution.
- Design, develop and configure workflows, flows, forms, scripts, and underlying logic using Scrum / Agile methodologies.
- Formulate and implement, when necessary, a QA/ATF strategy, with solutions for unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Contribute to design and coding standards for development teams to follow.
- Lead/perform ServiceNow version and patch upgrades.
- Perform evaluation and rollout of new applications and solutions in ServiceNow both proactively and as requested.
- Build, rollout and support the technical framework to support distributed/shared development on the platform.
- Participate actively in discussion and planning for automation efforts on the platform.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and remedy identified system issues to maintain a superior level of steady-state support
- Configure and maintain integration with 3rd party systems such as; Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Azure, Okta, SolarWinds, OpenLM, Absolute CompuTrace, Microsoft Exchange Online, Workday, SAP, etc.
- Provide on-call support when Production issues occur. (very rare)

Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related areas. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of experience with the field's concepts, practices and procedures is required.
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Strong knowledge of ITIL concepts.
- Ability to understand complex business needs and adapt appropriately. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies applicable to the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow solution, design, configuration, monitoring and management.
Preferred:
- 4+ years of experience working with IT Service Management solutions in an enterprise environment.
- 6+ years of ServiceNow development / implementation / administrative experience.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow Application Suites covering ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and HRSM.
- Experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, XML, SOAP, REST, Jelly, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and experience with Workflow and Flow Designer.
- Strong knowledge and experience with ACL's, CS's, BR's, SI's and Glide Ajax best practices.
- Strong grounding in fundamentals of web application development (identity, security etc.).
- Experience working with structured data, schema, and databases.
- Experience integrating internal and external (SaaS based) applications using RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0 and GraphQL.
- Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work closely with team to plan, strategize and roadmap ServiceNow functionality to maintain and anticipate business needs.
- Familiarity with and ability to understand and follow the CSDM
- Comfortable leading in both technical and organizational context discussion
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator
- Certified ServiceNow Developer or Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist
- ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Certification
- Relevant software development experience or certifications
- Micro Certs or certifications in other platform functionalities
- Experience maintaining version control systems
- Exposure to Identity Management and Single Sign on/Active Directory integrations
- Exposure/experience with Cloud integrations
- Exposure/experience with FedRAMP environment/integrations
- Experience with Automation and DevOps Practices
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development approaches
- Experience with Discovery and Service Mapping
- Experience as lead admin / developer
- Experience in multiple ServiceNow environments
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
- Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Rarely exposed to loud noises
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $91,154.71 - $125,337.72
