In this role, you will serve as the Principal ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementing Software Asset Management solution design using best industry and ServiceNow practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow SAM solutions to optimize Software license usage, ensure compliance, and enhance overall IT asset management efficiency. You will review requirements to ensure that they have sufficient detail to be accurately scoped and estimated. You will work closely with CMDB and other workstreams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the IT landscape. You will provide help support / maintain software data collection through ITOM Discovery process. You will build process to maintain quality of software inventory data inside the CMDB. You will provide reports inequality of software data. You will provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis. You will develop custom applications within ServiceNow including integrations with other applications. You will design, prototype, implement, test and deploy business rules, UI policies, scheduled jobs, import sets, transform maps, ACLs and notifications. You will create and use update sets and XMLs to move customer configuration and data between environments. You will translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the business stakeholders and process teams. You will create comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow SAM configurations, processes and workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.

• Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.
• You have 8+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
• You will have 8+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, with a focus on Software Asset Management Processes.

• Detailed understanding of all configurations related to SAM, including Software Models, Discovery Models, Normalization, Content library, Software Entitlements, Direct Integration Profiles, SAM Workspace, workflows, Reporting, Performance Analytics.
• Good understanding of ServiceNow SAM Application and CMDB Architecture - Plugins, CMDB & SAM Table Structure, Roles & Personas, Software Lifecycle management and Out of the box use cases.
• Experience creating software license contracts, Entitlements, custom license metrics and other SAM related data.
• Knowledge of Software Publishers like Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Citrix etc.
• Good knowledge of ServiceNow Core functionality, IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
• Willingness to learn new modules.
• Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions including: ServiceNow APIs, SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, REST/SOAP, SCP, FTPS, Database-level integrations.
• Good hands-on experience with ServiceNow Server side and client side scripts.

CERTIFICATIONS (preferred):

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

• Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (or) Certified implementation Specialist - Discovery (or) Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Mapping

Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $99,900.00 - $267,570.00 / Year
