Services Pricing Strategy Manager
Job Description
Job SummaryThis Services Pricing Strategy Manager will support our North America Commercial HVAC business by building, leading and managing a pipeline of pricing and other margin expansion projects with the Building and Energy Services organizations. They will conduct analyses using standard tools and processes to drive margin expansion while helping achieve other strategic priorities for the business.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate, lead and participate in projects to identify, evaluate, execute and measure strategic pricing plans and top-line margin expansion opportunities.
- Participate in driving Trane's margin expansion strategy and implementation through strategic price management, integrated with strategic planning and product management processes.
- Key contributor in defining and developing value based pricing strategies and tactics to provide the right balance for Trane's price, volume and share plans.
- Optimize market opportunities, reduce margin leakage, expand into new vertical markets, improve sales force effectiveness
- Work with Financial Planning to identify and quantify business trends and their impact to strategic plans.
- Provide price and margin expansion forecasting, budgeting and reporting by business stream.
- Identify and implement price management/optimization strategies for Regional teams to achieve goals.
- Identify improvements to existing price software/tools/dashboards
- Improve on risk/ benefit analysis tools to support analysis of appropriate price changes in the market.
- Introduce/Enhance Strategic Planning process and responsible for execution of strategic pricing plan and expectations.
- Improve on existing metrics and measurements of Trane price realization.
- Develop/Enhance standard reports and complete ad-hoc analysis to identify opportunity markets based on review of price, volume, share and mix trends
- Responsible for performance management, working closely with the field teams to deliver price realization by stream.
- Lead change management by executing standard review cadence with Regions/SME's and area teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance or Data Science with at least 8 years of relevant work experience (preferably in pricing/revenue management) is required.
- MBA is preferred.
Key Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving, advanced analytical and critical thinking skills required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Products. Familiarity with Tableau a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, data-driven and capable of managing several projects at a time.
- Knowledge of pricing principles, strategy and techniques.
- Strong product/solution/services knowledge including value propositions/quantification.
- Strong teaming skills and ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across functional areas that have access to information needed for pricing analysis.
Annual Base Pay Range - $81,000 - $190,000
Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed. Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
