Services Tendering Engineer
Job Description
The Services Tendering team belongs to the Services organization for a group of countries (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya).
The role of the tendering team is to support the Outside and Inside sales team in the tendering process by preparing technical offer and cost breakdown for non-standard offers
Essential Responsibilities:
Answer RFQs in accordance with the Global Services pricing and margin guidelines
Prepare offers which includes :
- Analysis of customer requirements and possible deviations in proposal
- Prepare the technical offer including technical specification of the solution, services proposed and execution time line
- Coordinate with outsource partner quotations to get relevant costing of the different packages
- Prepare the cost breakdown for the Service offer to be reviewed and agreed with the Business Manager
- Identify and collect risks and opportunities in Bid phase. Draw up actions to mitigate possible risks and increase margin.
- Work in close collaboration with the Sales Rep (Internal/Outside) in charge of the opportunity to optimize the offer
- Ensure a high level of tendering service by providing offers to customer on time (target >95%)
- Measure and follow up customer satisfaction
- Participate in the project related handover meeting in the defined timeline and deliver all project related documents to Project Management.

- Reactivity on quotation & reliability of costing
- Good Offer knowledge including Digital
- Close collaboration with sales team for good understanding of customer requirements
- Close collaboration with operations team for proper understanding of field logistics and technical constraints
Qualifications - External
- NDip / BTech / BEng Engineering-related diploma or degree and/or relevant industry experience
- General commercial background
- 1-3 years' experience in tendering and/or project management
- ERP system understanding (Salesforce)
- Good communication and negotiation skill
- Business understanding
- Experience in a similar industry (IT and Critical Power) / (Automation and Drives)
- Team player & open minded
Qualifications
