This position performs settlement calculations and responds to inquiries. The Settlements Analyst validates revenues & expenses per the associated rules, reconciles revenues & expenses in internal systems, generates invoices & statements and prepares journal entries. Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of utilities & commodities experience desired. Minimum of one (1) year of Finance or Accounting experience, required. Microsoft Office skills required; strong Excel skills needed. Ability to learn custom industry specific systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, reconciles, and/or evaluates the accuracy of commodity transactions and details, ensuring proper amounts and classification.
  • Prepares & Reconciles commodity invoices to third party and transaction systems.
  • Identify problem areas or situations, evaluate problem causes, and take appropriate action to resolve identified problems.
  • Prepares journal entries related to commodity transactions
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted in the course of assigned responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
  • Minimum three (3) years of utilities & commodities experience required
  • Fluent in English
  • Microsoft Office skills required; Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Ability to learn custom industry specific systems
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $60,000 and $85,000/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
