Ardent is seeking a SharePoint Developer to join our team.  

This is currently a REMOTE position. Candidates must be open to working a Hybrid scheduled within the Ashburn, VA area (if and when required at a later date).

Candidates with a current DHS or Top Secret Clearance are highly desired.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Works as a SharePoint web sites developer, SharePoint strategist and maintain responsibility for supporting the needs of various offices groups and driving enduring results back to clients.
• Develop solutions to urgent business problems, leveraging existing tools, downloading open-source tools and services wherever possible and otherwise building them as custom applications.
• Develops, enhances tests, supports, maintains, and debugs software applications and interfaces that support business units. Support the development of technical solution documentation.
• Design, develop, implement, maintain, improve, integrate SharePoint solutions using latest Version including internal and/or external web sites.
• Lead and execute any web development tasks.
• Works in collaboration with other team members to develop and modify SharePoint sites. Captures requirements, develops site content framework and SharePoint web parts. Updates SharePoint tools and objects in response to evolving user needs.
• Works independently to identify and execute maintenance and upgrade activities for assigned SharePoint sites.
• Works on creating new interface for and support current Interface for SharePoint sites that provides information from various applications, (create or leverage APIs) wherever possible.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on SharePoint software application issues

Required Qualifications 

• Experience in using SharePoint Forms and SharePoint Designer
• Experience using JavaScript (customizing, modifying required and writing code from scratch preferred)
• Experience in software development using.NET Framework and HTML.
• Extensive experience with implementing workflows.
• Experience implementing and deploying custom SharePoint features to enhance out of the box SharePoint functionality.
• Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible information technology experience preferably developing features in SharePoint, coding in any OOP language and integrating them with other systems
• Understanding of Visual Studio or any other IDE and code management processes such as GIT
• Knowledge and experience with SharePoint customizations including Branding, Metadata, Navigation, Design Manager, Master pages, page layouts, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML (5) and responsive design knowledge.
• Experience with gathering functional requirements, troubleshooting, and working with the functional and technical users.
• Knowledge of business workflow design, InfoPath forms, and SharePoint Designer 2013 and/or 2016
• Able to create documentation, and assists in the planning aspects of future enhancements
• Attention to detail and an ability to learn and build reliable, scalable, and flexible software
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a heavy coding environment     
• Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions using appropriate and applicable SharePoint web part(s), Using a combination of workflows and web development technologies.
• Ability to leverage expertise in time management to complete assignments independently and effectively.
• Ability to estimate work and meet deadlines
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
