Shift Fitter

Job Description
The Role:
We are currently seeking applications for Shift Fitters to be based at our sites in Hastings and be part of a team that enjoys challenges and is results orientated.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working a rotating shift pattern (days and nights).

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to plant repairs, maintenance and breakdowns in order to minimise downtime, improve reliability and maximise overall efficiency.
• Trouble-shooting, preventative maintenance, overhaul and problem solving as well as line change-overs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, consider innovative solutions and advise options completing scheduled preventative maintenance programs.
• Continuously monitor and improve Overall Efficiency (OE).

Your Skills:

• Electrical knowledge would be preferable.
• Suitably certified by trade/ government /training organisation, or 3+ years engineering experience in manufacturing facility.
• Experience in pneumatics, PLC's, hydraulics.
• Experience in a food factory.
• Strong organisational, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Physically fit.
• Self-motivated and improvement focused team player.
• Understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
