Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $19.23 - $29.00 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk that will support one of the following programs:

• INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models.
• SDC: NASA has selected Tendeg to develop a large rectangular aperture deployable antenna for a Surface Deformation and Change mission. The baseline antenna is 7x1.4m and operates at C-band and will need to demonstrate TRL6 by the end of 2022. • 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO to lunar applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Systematically issue/receive material with inventory control system
• Kit per manufacturing requirements while maintaining traceability and accuracy
• Ensure kitting needs are met by desired need date
• Packaging and handling sensitive/fragile/ESD material as directed
• Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of stock
• Labeling every product and placing them accordingly in assigned location
• Investigates and troubleshoots inventory issues/problems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory room
• Prepares shipping documents for parts to be shipped following government specifications (Certifications) in packaging and routing as required for final shipment ensuring all appropriate documents are completed.
• Takes physical inventory (cycle counts) of finished goods and components
• Coordinate with Production Control, to schedule shipments and deliveries.
• Verify all orders and record shipping information.
• Complete shipping orders including necessary labels and stickers.
• Update computer inventory reports.
• Authorize product for shipment.
• Maintain security procedures for all processes.
• Resolve internal and external customer problems when presented.
• Assist in tracking shipments and provide status updates of shipments.
• Assuring no damaged items are sent or received
• Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
• Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory
• Packaging products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Job Requirements:

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors
