SUMMARY: 

As the Shipping Clerk you will be responsible to ensure orders are downloaded from our software systems, material is pulled and staged for shipment, shipments are processed, Trucks are loaded, and shipments are completed in a timely manner. It is critical all applicable safety guidelines are followed in the process. Additionally, as time allows and needs dictate, you will support other material movement activities within the plant as appropriate. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure DTC orders are shipped out on time based on shipment priority. 
  • Ensure all order packaging instructions are followed 
  • Must be able to use RF Smart scanner and read the daily order report.
  • Must fully understand quality standards as prescribed by management 
  • Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition. 
  • Ability to load and unload trucks using a stand-up forklift
  • Follows prescribed safety regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned 

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Minimum 1-2 years shipping/receiving clerk experience. 
  • Order management experience a plus 
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal.  
  • Attention to detail.  
  • Must be able to read and follow directions as needed.  
  • Ability to plan and organize; good time management skills.  
  • Problem solving ability.  
  • Ability to operate under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Cooperative, team oriented, patient, and able to work independently.  
  • Material Handling experience

The employee is often required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employees may be required to lift 10-50 lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will generally be housed in a shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required.
