Silicon Operations Manager

Twist is looking for seasoned operations manager to lead the production of silicon chips used in Twist’s inkjet-based DNA synthesis process. The qualified candidate will lead all aspects of silicon operations including raw materials procurement, production scheduling, inventory management, lab organization, and equipment maintenance.  

Responsible for delivery of silicon chips to support the inkjet DNA synthesis product line

Responsible for scaling operations as business requirements demand

Manage all aspects of silicon chip production including personnel, scheduling, inventory, quality control, and materials procurement

Supervise feasibility and testing of new or modified chip designs

Manage all aspects of equipment purchase, installation, qualification and maintenance

Work with the rest of the Silicon engineering team to implement process and equipment changes to improve quality, increase throughput, and reduce costs

BS, (MS a plus) in Engineering or one of the Physical Sciences (Materials, Physics, Chemistry, etc.)

10+ years experience in semiconductor or hardware manufacturing

Experience managing a group of technicians

Understanding Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues including equipment and process related

Microfabrication experience a plus
