Job Description:

Broadcom Central Engineering's platform technology group selects, qualifies, improves, and implements the silicon technology platform and CAD tool flows for both internal and external customers.

The silicon technology team within the platform group is hiring experienced technologists to work with our silicon suppliers. In this highly visible role you will drive silicon foundries for process, model, and CAD tool improvements. Internally, you will interact with IP and product design teams to enable development of world class IP.

Job requirements:

1. Expertise in silicon technology: Direct IDM or fabless experience working on advanced FINFET/GAA or 3D-memory technologies and strong knowledge in process integration, device physics, reliability qualification, and SPICE modeling is a must.

2. Experience in design technology co-optimization (DTCO): Hands-on experience with layout, RC extraction and circuit simulation are expected. Work experience in assisting IP & product teams to resolve device/process related issues in the design of Analog, Logic and Memory circuits is highly desired. Well qualified process technology specialists with a keen interest in expanding their skill sets to also learn about design technology interactions are also welcome to apply.

3. Personal characteristics: For this interface role, high standards of personal integrity and accountability are required. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to devise complete solutions are also essential.

4. Job location options include San Jose, Irvine, and San Diego. Some overseas travel to silicon suppliers will be required.

5. Advanced degree in the field of EE, Material Science, Physics, or Chemistry is required. Successful candidates typically meet a minimum professional experience requirement of 10+ years after an MS or 7+ years after a PhD. The job grade will be commensurate with the candidate's qualification and experience and relocation assistance will be provided.
